Profile

Dr. Aniefor, Sunday Jones, has been in the academic environment for 13 years having joined the defunct Accountancy Department of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, in November, 2010 and rose to the rank of a Senior Lecturer . He was also the Head, Department of Accountancy, School of Business Studies, Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro from 2019 to 2021 before the school was upgraded to Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro. . He has served as a member in various committees such as: Examination Malpractice Committee, Examination Monitoring Committee and a representative of the School of Business Studies in the School of Science board, Departmental Accreditation committee for both National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ( ICAN ). He has also served at different times as department course adviser and Staff adviser respectively. Dr. Aniefor, S.J was the sitting HOD when the department got her full Accreditation status from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He taught the following Courses at both ND and HND levels: Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Bankruptcy Laws and Accounts, Taxation, and Oil and Gas Accounting. Before joining the Lecturing crew of the Department of Accountancy, Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, (defunct), Dr. Aniefor, S.J worked for almost a decade as an Accountant in the Finance Division of Mercedes-Benz Anambra Motor Manufacturing Company (MB-ANAMMCO) LTD. Following the upgrade of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, to University of Science and Technology, Ozoro, Dr, Aniefor, S.J was reabsorbed as Lecturer I in Accounting Department, Faculty of Administration and Management in August, 2021 and he is also the current acting Head of Accounting Department, Faculty of Administration and Management. Dr. Aniefor, S.J has the following academic qualifications to his credit; HND, Accounting (IMT, Enugu State), PGD, Accountancy (University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State, BSc, Accounting ( University of Benin, Edo State), MBA, Accountancy (University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State), MSc Accountancy (University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State), PhD Accountancy (Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State). He equally belongs to the following professional bodies: ACA,Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ACTI , Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, ADM, Chartered Institute of Administration, and CIPFA, Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, England. He has published more than 30 Academic journals both locally and internationally.
